Building Bird Feeders and Boosting Biodiversity
At Tremfan Lodge Park, we believe life by the coast is about more than beautiful views, it’s about connecting with nature, supporting wildlife, and giving back to the environment that surrounds us.
We’re proud to once again take part in the BH&HPA David Bellamy Blooming Marvellous Pledge for Nature, continuing our commitment to protecting and enhancing the stunning natural surroundings that make Tremfan Lodge Park so unique.
This month, we’ve joined the Everyone Active Challenge, a nationwide initiative encouraging holiday parks to take part in simple, practical conservation activities that together make a big difference.
To celebrate and pledge our support, every lodge owner will receive a ‘Green fingers Build Your Own Bird Feeder’ kit, offering a fun and creative way to look after our feathered friends right here on the park.
A Simple Idea with a Big Impact
Birds bring colour, song, and life to Tremfan Lodge Park all year round. From robins and blue tits to finches and sparrows, these small creatures play a vital role in our local ecosystem.
As natural food sources become scarce in winter, bird feeders provide essential support, helping sustain wildlife through the colder months and creating a thriving, biodiverse environment.
It’s also a relaxing and rewarding activity that brings our park community together and reminds us how easy it can be to make a difference.
A Haven for Birds All Year Round
Our coastal setting and nature-friendly landscaping attract a wonderful range of species. Among the most common sights are robins, blue tits, and great tits, whose cheerful calls and flashes of colour brighten the park throughout the year.
Look closely and you might also spot chaffinches, goldfinches, and sparrows darting between hedgerows, while blackbirds and thrushes can often be seen searching for food on the ground.
During the spring and summer months, migratory visitors such as swallows and house martins bring energy and excitement to the skies above Tremfan Lodge Park. Their acrobatic flights are a sure sign that warmer days have arrived.

Our Ongoing Commitment to Nature
Our dedication to nature is long-standing. In previous years, we’ve worked with the children of Ysgol Llanbedrog to build over 20 bird boxes, providing safe nesting sites around the park and inspiring the next generation to care for the environment.
Now, through the Everyone Active Challenge, we’re continuing that tradition, adding another chapter to our story of conservation, creativity, and community spirit.
At Tremfan Lodge Park, we’re showing that small actions, from planting pollinator-friendly flowers to building bird feeders, all contribute to a healthier and more vibrant natural world.
