While Tremfan Lodge Park may be peacefully resting through the winter months, a lot of work has been happening behind the scenes to support nature, wildlife, and sustainability. Located in the beautiful coastal village of Llanbedrog on the Llŷn Peninsula, Tremfan Lodge Park is a sustainable lodge park committed to protecting and enhancing the local environment. As proud members of the BH&HPA, now HARPA, we are thrilled to take part in the David Bellamy Blooming Marvellous Campaign for 2026, supporting activities that benefit both people and wildlife.
Planting for Wildlife and Pollinators
In autumn 2025, we planted hundreds of spring bulbs across the park. These bulbs are now starting to bloom, bringing early colour and providing an important source of nectar for pollinators, including bees and butterflies. We are also planting new bare root shrubs, carefully selected to attract birds, insects, and other wildlife, while adding year-round interest to our eco-friendly lodge park.
All this work has been happening while the park is closed, so that when we reopen on 1st March, Tremfan Lodge Park will be greener, brighter, and even more wildlife friendly.
Bee-Saving Seeds for Lodge Owners
To celebrate the start of the 2026 season, we are giving each lodge a packet of bee-saving flower seeds from Just Bee Honey. When we reopen, we invite all lodge owners to join us by planting their seeds around the park, helping create a vibrant, pollinator friendly environment. These flowers will provide food and shelter for bees and other pollinators, making our North Wales holiday lodges part of a wider effort to support wildlife.
As a family, we already use Just Bee products and love what the brand stands for. Their immunity honey helps keep seasonal bugs at bay, while their vitality honey gives an extra boost during the winter months.
Supporting Bees and the Environment
Just Bee honey is a family-led business with a long beekeeping heritage and a clear mission to help save the bees. Bees are declining, partly due to the loss of wildflowers and natural habitats, yet they are responsible for pollinating around a third of the food we eat. To help, Just Bee plants a bee-saving flower for every product sold. So far, over five million flowers have been planted.
Their seed packets contain a mix of over 30 carefully selected wildflowers designed to attract a variety of pollinators. The seeds can be sown in gardens, borders, pots, window boxes, or even an empty honey jar, flowering from June through September. You can find out more about these bee-friendly seeds at Just Bee Honey.
Blooming Marvellous for 2026
This initiative aligns perfectly with the David Bellamy Blooming Marvellous Campaign and supports three key challenges: Everyone Active, creating environmental activities for all to enjoy; Pollinator Patch, providing food and shelter for bees, butterflies, and other insects; and Rewilding, allowing nature to restore ecosystems naturally.
What a wonderful way to kick off the 2026 season. We look forward to welcoming you back to Tremfan Lodge Park and seeing our sustainable lodge park come alive in bloom.
