There’s a quiet shift that happens on the Llŷn Peninsula at this time of year. The days stretch a little longer, the air feels softer, and all around, nature begins to reawaken. Here at Tremfan Lodge Park, it’s a time we always look forward to, and this year feels more special than ever.
Across Tremfan Lodge Park, spring has truly arrived. Carpets of delicate bluebells have begun to appear, bringing gentle waves of colour to the landscape, while wild garlic fills the air with its unmistakable fresh, earthy scent. Nestled among them, you’ll also spot bright white daisies scattered across the grass, simple, cheerful signs that warmer days are here.
Letting nature take the lead
This spring, we’ve taken a more mindful approach to how we care for parts of Tremfan Lodge Park. In areas where bluebells and wild garlic grow abundantly, we’ve chosen to step back and let nature take the lead. By reducing mowing in these spaces, we’re allowing these beautiful wildflowers, and the daisies that naturally follow, to thrive.
It’s a small change, but one that makes a big difference, not just for the plants themselves, but for the wildlife they support. Bees, insects, and birds all benefit from these natural habitats, creating a richer, more vibrant environment for everyone to enjoy.
Slowing down and taking it in
There’s something incredibly calming about being surrounded by nature in full bloom. Whether it’s a quiet morning walk, a moment of stillness with a cup of coffee, or simply taking in the sights and sounds around you, spring at Tremfan Lodge Park encourages you to slow down.
At Tremfan Lodge Park don’t have to go far to experience it, each lodge has nature on its doorstep and enjoys, the colours, the scents, and the gentle sense of renewal that this time of year brings.
